16th International Junior Baseball and Junior Softball Week

Senior Baseball Wooden Bat Tournament

OLDENZAAL, THE NETHERLANDS

This international baseball and softball tournament has hosted travel, club and selection teams from USA, Canada, Germany, Russia, Czech Republic, South Africa, France, Belgium, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Romania, Bulgaria, Moldavia and the Netherlands. This field of participants shows that this is the most international softball and baseball week in the Netherlands and will be held for the 16th time in succession in Oldenzaal, the Netherlands.

The tournament starts on Monday August 2 but we can make it possible for teams to start later in the week but not later than Thursday afternoon. We offer competing teams enough possibility for sight seeing during the day and additional time for practice games from Monday to Thursday. Finals take place on Saturday and Sunday (reserve). Saturday evening is reserved for a barbecue and disco.

The organization offers the opportunity for teams to make use of our own camping site or guest families (limited). In the surrounding area of Oldenzaal there are various possibilities for the use of hotels or youth hostels. The organization guarantees a 6 game minimum, umpires and free game balls, all covered by the entry fee. The participating teams of the senior baseball wooden bat tournament are provided as well with wooden bats.

The following level of teams can be entered:

Senior Wooden Bat Tournament:

• senior teams 1st and 2nd class Dutch club teams
  
• senior level European baseball club teams
  
• 21 and under national selection teams
  
• USA college teams
  

Junior Baseball:

• 16 and under baseball teams
  
• 16 and under national selection teams as well as 14 and under selection teams
  

Junior Softball:

• 18 and under softball teams
  
• national 16 and under selection teams
  
• 14 and under national selection teams
  

The baseball and softball week offers more than enough opportunity to:

• do sight seeing (Amsterdam, castles, swimming and theme parks)
  
• play baseball and softball against other countries
  
• meet other players and have fun with each other
  
• have coaches organize a training week for their team
  

The week also contains the famous barbecue and disco on the Saturday evening
